Intrigue
I'm working on my second game, which I plan to kickstart first. It is a fast paced game about making alliances to invade other players in a loosely World War 1 themed card game. The title "Intrigue" may change by the time I kickstart. We'll see.
Intrigue is a game about making alliances, signing peace treaties, and launching invasions. Each player has a board and a set of cards that indicate the other players which they use to indicate who they are invading and who they are supporting. Players and alliances win by conquering territory from the other players. The mechanics are pretty simple and designed to feel intuitive. The emphasis of the game is the player interaction. I probably won't have print design before the kickstarter, and the designs you see above I did myself using GIMP, a free design tool for macs. Stay tuned!
Thanks,
Brian
The United Kingdom's board. The flags of the other countries above are for placing tokens that represent your diplomatic status. The invade and support spots are where you place the cards you are playing, while the defend spot is where you put your defending armies.
